It is the greatest museum in Albania and is easily recognizable due to the mosaic on the top of its front entrance. The museum contains many artefacts throughout the history of Albania and is really worth a visit. Not far from the city centre you can find Piramida, a site where various conventions and art events are frequently held. Another landmark worth a visit is the Tirana Castle, a well preserved castle dating back from the Byzantine Times.

If you are looking for either relaxation or entertainment the Block (Blloku) offers you whatever you need. Blloku is the most cosmopolitan area in Tirana full of cafeterias, night clubs and bars. Moreover if you are looking for a nice cup of coffee maybe you should try the cafeteria at the "Taiwan" complex located in the middle of a very beautiful park or the cafeteria at the top of the revolving Tower which offers a panoramic view of the whole city. Finally, before you leave make sure to take a walk by the Grand Park near the artificial lake or by the Lana River a river running across the city.
